Teacups, thriftiness, twice-used!

I think that white is beautiful. The classic lines, the ability to accent for whatever season, whatever event, whatever color.

Today we can have tea out on the sunporch. It's cosy and comfortable, with lots of windows.

You can sit here. We'll pour the tea and have a slice of sweet cake.

Cream or sugar?

Rule of thumb: Candles are always appropriate, and you can never have too many of them!

Have a wonderful day!

My mom gave me the blue tablecloth. Lace is a curtain for a door. Dishes with tea set were Mister's before we were married. Candlesticks collected here and there. Blue dishes were a yardsale find. Cakestand found at a thrift store.

Today I am joining Sandi for Tea Time Tuesday (sandimyyellowdoor.blogspot.com/)

Table Top Tuesday is being hosted by Marty! (astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/)

Twice Owned Tuesday is being hosted by Bonnie at House of Grace (creatingahouseofgrace.blogspot.com/)

and finally, Faded Charm's White Wednesday! (fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com)

Thank you so much for Commenting in my blog. And thus, I could find your lovely blog.

My, but this is some Sears Kit Home!!! When I think Kit Home, I think "little." Yours is a mansion! How much fun I will have, going back through your entries and seeing all about it. :-)

Gentle hugs...

Ohhhhhhhhhhh dear me! You make Readers do the *dreaded* Word Verification, to Comment here! Oh dear! Oh dear! I so dislike Word Verification.

Do you really need it? Do you know that some people just never come back to blogs, with Word Verification Setting on? -sigh-

I believe in Comment Safety. So I have Comment Verification Setting on. I read all Comments, before Publishing them. Simple way to keep SPAM out.

And noooooooooo need to make my Dear Readers do the *dreaded* Word Verification, in order to Comment to me.

I've seen that set before in flea markets and it's so very pretty with the swirls... You're so correct...white is a wonderful choice. I've been looking for white for a long time now. It has to be the right price and the right color white and I'm terribly way fussy. I like that you used the blue plate for a pop of color, too. A beautiful table all the way around!

Hi Carol,
You're so right about white being right! It never goes out of style and fits into any tablescape. Your tea set is lovely and I like the swirls on it too. I love candles at any time! I usually have candles in my post but didn't this week because I had my tea in the soft light from a lamp. After seeing my photos I still could have used the candles as they would have added a little something special. Thanks for your wonderful post and for joining me for tea. Hope you have a lovely day.

When I was getting married and registered for china I wanted a pretty rose print, but my mother talked me into a white swirl design-she said I would always change the tablecloth, napkins, and placemats to whatever style I wanted and the china would go along-I agree with you-it goes with everything!
