Golden Yellow

After a dreary day of rain yesterday, and thunderstorms over night, this is what greeted me this morning.

A brilliant golden-yellow back yard. The sun streamed through the yellow leaves remaining on the maples, and over the freshly fallen leaves on the ground.

Sure, I'll be mulching more leaves, but the beauty of them today makes it so much more worth it!

Have a wonderful day!, and thank you, Dayle, for hosting Simple Pleasures Thursday!

Sun coming through the golden leaves is, indeed, a simple pleasure, Carol. Thanks for sharing. Susan

What a pretty autumn gift. Enjoy them for a while before the work needs to be done.

Oh wow, everything looks so fresh and bright after rain. Even all those leaves on the ground. Will you have to rake them all up?

Ah ... don't you just love it when the leaves cover the ground like that? I so miss our big maple tree. Yes, it was a lot of work raking it all up, but what a beauty when it started shedding leaves. I loved this.

The pictures are beautiful. Way to take a mundane task and find joy in having to do it.

Just Bee yoo tee ful, Carol! I love the colors of autumn the very best. We don't have a huge amount of change here, but I love what we do have. Now, I'm going to be on the lookout for yellow around here.

I might even go for a drive.

Lovely pictures! It is easy to find the beauty in the more showy seasons.....the leaves are all off the trees here now but the beauty is still there...this morning it was the frost on the bare bushes...GORGEOUS :)

Blessings!

Our leaves are long gone...raked and bagged and carried to the local compost heap. I must admit the lawn was prettier when they had just fallen.

You are so lucky!!!! I love fall but get none of those gorgeous colors down in Florida. I have memories of autumn in Vermont and other places we've visited and it is by far my favorite season. This is such a blessing to watch. A true simple pleasure. Don't you just love this meme?

Thanks for stopping by. I'm still making some rounds. Blessings!

They do look very pretty. Your two garden chairs look like they're in an ideal spot for a bit of shade in the summer months.
