Red and white accents on the mantel say Christmas and winter. I do love a sparkly white mantel too, though!
Plenty of red to be found in Christmas decorations!
Red and white on aprons used year round somehow look more festive right now.
White snowman, red star!
I love the darling kitties sleeping under the covers with their dear little heads on the pillow! We picked up this poster and the one below at a Holiday Open House a couple of weeks ago. They feature Chessie, the cat used in the advertisements for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad.
Here's Chessie with a letter. Click on the picture to read.
Have a fabulous, red and white Wednesday! And do be sure to visit the White Wednesday and Rednesday weekly parties!

Cute and clever advertising back in the day and innocent...I like that. Yes, red and white take on an entirely new significance at Christmastime. Your mantel looks so beautiful!
Your white mantle is fetching. You know I cannot resist a cat...I am trying to type with one in my lap now.
I really like the kitties under the cover too-so sweet!
Great pics, lovin' your vintage ornaments:@)
Lovely photos!
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog, as well! Wouldn't it be funny if we really *aren't* that far apart in PA? Such a small world, isn't it? :)
What a lovely home you have!!! Thanks for visiting, I am coming back when I have more time to see more of your lovely house. Love it!

I love the posters you picked up! So cute and the red really pops! I just love cats. We have a cat that hangs out at our school. His name is Mr. Kitty. He's one of the most beautiful cats I've ever seen. Sadly, Mr. Kitty is a sprayer. He came in my room after school today but I shooed him out before he could let all the cats know this was his place. Oh dear, I digress. Your home is looking very festive and I'm looking forward to seeing more - especially that new gorgeous kitchen of yours!
I enjoyed your blog and seeing all your pretty reds.
I would have missed the kittens under the covers if you hadn't mentioned it. That is adorable!
You're so right that red just takes on a whole new look this time of year. I'm crazy about those two ornaments hanging from the bough by the mantel. They look like what we had growing up.
I love your house and love all your Christmas decorations. Very Festive!
I love that letter. Thanks for telling us to click on it. I have been to the Terminal Tower in Cleveland many times. Gorgeous place! What a great find!
I love red and white year around but, yes, those colors take on special meaning this time of year. I worked in advertising for years and so enjoy seeing old ads with their wonderful graphics. Thanks for sharing.
I love red all year too but funny thing is I don't use alot of red for Christmas except my cherry kitchen tree.
I love your cute cherry and daisys apron and love the old advertising ads.
So sweet!
Merry Christmas dear friend,

I enjoyed seeing your photos - so festive and cheerful!
Your vintage bulbs are wonderful. I really like how you have them displayed.

My momma taught me that you can never go wrong with a bit of red in every room. Smart lady!
I love when people decorate with out of the ordinary things, and those posters are so unique and perfect! I wish I had a couple kitties to tuck in at night!
Happy REDnesday!
