I love to cut up food. With scissors! Mister gave me this set for Christmas.
I do not enjoy cutting meat. But give me a pair of these babies, and I'm all over it. Stew meat? Sure! Chipped beef? You betcha! Chicken for stir fry? Of course!
And then there is always pastry/pie crust!

Carol...I mentioned sissors and poultry shears in my post too....wouldn't want to be without them and much to my husbands dismay, I cut/carve meat with them...you've got a great set :)

I do NOT own a decent pair of kitchen scissors. I'm almost positive that they would head off on a scissor adventure like all the other ones in my house do if I did.
Sigh...
I have poultry scissors that are also my all purpose scissors. I used them on everything except paper... I'd love to have Edward Scissorhands in my kitchen when I need to cut something! Nice blog.

I have a pair of kitchen scissors, but I never have used them in the kitchen! I need to leave them there and use them. Joni
I have kitchen scissors that are part of my Henkel knife set and they perform all kinds of jobs in my kitchen. It might be nice to have a few other pairs for specific functions.
I also have one wonderful pair of kitchen scissors which I keep in the knife drawer, then put in the dishwasher, and I will never be without kitchen scissors again! I love them. Linda
If I had to choose between Mr. Sweet and my kitchen shears, he MIGHT be in trouble.

I guard my kitchen shears so well I do not let anyone else know where they are hidden. I saw them in getting ready for this party but really have not used them for years. Maybe I don't know what I have been missing??

I adore my kitchen scissors. We always have a few handy in case the kids have run off with one.

Great idea! I'll have to try! I use shears for chicken but never thought to cut up meat that way! When my kids were small we had a pair of scissors just to cut their pizza and hot dogs, much easier than a knife.
Great kitchen scissors you have there Carol, I need to throw some hints to my dh, I love to cut up meat with my scissors. I don't have but one and they are about worn out. lol. I adore your header, so yummy looking. Hope your Valentine's Day was filled with many blessings.

They are a big help! My dil uses them to cut the pizza small for the little ones too!

We have packed almost everything BUT we keep needing scissors! I guess they will be the very last thing we pack - can't live without them.
Oh my ... I thought kitchen shears were just scissors that lived in the kitchen drawer and were hopefully not the ones the kids found!
I have 3 pair of them, but never use them for food. and I should, as I hate to cut meat, too!
