I. Love. Cake.

Open counter space is a luxury. When it is occupied by a cake, it's even better! A homemade cake displayed on a cake stand is welcoming, beautiful and delicious!
And a good yellow cake just happens to be one of my 3 favorite foods.

Have a wonderful Thursday! Keep warm!

I'm joining Dayle today for Simple Pleasures Thursday. Thanks for hosting, Dayle!

Oh my. I absolutely love cake. I can't resist it. I'm not too much of a dessert person but cake is definitely a weakness. Yum. Now I have a craving. ;)

Thanks for sharing. Save me a slice.
Always a pleasure stopping by.
Blessings!

I love a good yellow cake too.
In fact when I was a little girl, I called my grandmother's yellow cake Favorite Cake.
I linked to Simple Pleasures as well.

I enjoyed visiting,

I. Love. Cake. Too.

I also love the way a cake looks when showcased in a pedestal cake dish. I don't know why, but I do. In fact, a pretty cake dish (antique if possible) is a favorite thing for me to give as a wedding gift.

I agree with you. I read once of a woman who received a new cake dome and vowed to always have some cake under it! That would be a pleasing sight to me too -- but my husband and kids would make it a near impossible feat to have something just on display. Joni

What a pretty cake stand! And it looks like the cake was pretty good too!

Yellow cake with white frosting, or chocolate, or powdered sugar...whatever!!! LOVE it! Your cake stand is very pretty. Like your white cupboards and black counter tops...looks like the lakehouse kitchen.

Carol, you're not helping my sweet cravings. LOL! Just yesterday found me craving yellow cake! But what a glorious simple pleasure, for sure, and I love your cake stand.

Cake! Always has been a simple pleasure! Is your home really from one of those Sears kits from long ago. I have seen them in the old Sears and Robuck catalogs. Can you imagine buying your home for $3000 with the wall paper included? Oh..and a pull chair toilet! :)
We used to have some in our town but some misguided people tore them down to build strip malls. Silly folks!
Your home is beautiful. I have been plowing back through your posts... :) I do that sometimes!

Hi Carol! Oh, I love cake too! I'll bet a pretty little plate with a tiny little slice of cake on it just for me would look wonderful on your most gorgeous countertops! :)
Now pop over to my blog and see your Bathroom Diva crowning!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I agree...cake makes a counter top even more luxurious and fitted with the pretty cake plate...it's perfection...well almost...eating it is perfection!
