Spring Hyacinth

Aaaahhh....A hyacinth.
I can only wish I could blog the scent of it along with its beauty!

I treated myself to this little white lovely today. I thought - now that I believe the snow is really gone for another year, and the daffodils and naked ladies are showing leaves through the soil - that I'd celebrate Spring.
Join me, won't you?!

As usual, Bubba showed up to check things out. Let's pretend he is enjoying the fragrance, although obviously he just wants to bite on the flower. (NOT allowed - it's poisonous, don't cha know?!)

Have a most wonderful White Wednesday, join me as I visit Kathleen, and enjoy the transition we are experiencing as Winter turns to Spring!

I was waiting til I received the first issue, but I think I'll just share with all of you today.

I won Marcia's giveaway!
A one year subscription to this beautiful magazine! Marcia describes it herself,

"The magazine was such an inspiration and a confirmation of how I wanted to portray this blog. It shares the joys of homemaking, including decorating, cooking, parenting, and crafting, but my favorite part is how it incorporates the Word of God and Biblical teaching throughout its pages."

Thank you, thank you Marcia for this sweet giveaway and for the blessing of your blog!

Congrats on winning Marcia's giveaway - that looks like a fab magazine.

Bubba sure is cute checking out that lovely hyacinth. I can never have fresh flowers in the house cause the cats always go nuts over them!

Hi Carol and congrats on your win! Your flower is lovely and little stinker Bubba is cute but don't chew kitty! :)
Thanks for popping in to see my little birthday girl.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Congratulations on your win! It sounds like a wonderful magazine. A little touch of spring in your hyacinth, but I had no idea they were toxic. I do know that my cat is always after my little plant. She's eaten all the flowers off the top.

Sigh...that hyacinth is breathtaking, Carol. You had me going there for a minute when I saw the magazine cover. I thought you had received your first issue and got excited. I am so hoping they won't delay the process too much. Thank you for sharing.
