Here's my newest rocking chair! Picked up at a vintage shop this week. I did rock a little too enthusiatically on it and tipped over backwards....
This lovely old rocker was my great grandfather's. It was a favorite of his. It is small, and feels wonderful to sit in. My dad had it restored a few years ago. Beautiful.
This very small rocker was my grandmother's. It's in perfect condition and fits just about anywhere.
We keep this pair out on the front porch. My in laws had them for many years before we did.
Wishing each of you a wonderful weekend. It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow. Stop by and we can rock a bit!
Thanks to Debra for hosting Vintage Inspiration Friday! and Laurie for hosting Saturday Favorites and Sherry for her Home Sweet Home Party!

That reminds me that we need to PAINT porch rockers this weekend! :) I am sure my hubby will be glad to hear that.
Your chairs are all so beautiful, but that little tiny one is my favorite!

Now, Carol. settle down. You don't want people to say she is off her rocker! :)
I have a white wicker rocker on my porch, and I do love sitting in to have my morning coffee in good weather!

I love rocking chairs. I love to sit and rock babies for ever... Our youngest grandchild is 3 this summer I need to borrow someones baby and for some rocking and cuddling time.
Now don't go off your rocker again! I love rockers and have only one in the house, three out in the barn. Perhaps I should round a few up.
They are wonderful Carol. Rocking is terribly soothing.
You always have the warmest/feel good posts; wish I lived next door and could stop by to rock and share an iced tea! I especially love your great grandfather's rocker but they are each unique and beautiful.
Sorry you flipped over...I had to laugh out loud...done that before.
I love your rockers...what treasures. I love rocking.

I don't like to sit still, so a rocker of any kind is what I look for when I sit. Must be that soothing and calming motion I crave... Love all of your chairs- how nice to have those family heirlooms. Visiting from Laurie's.

Carol, I hope you'll be more careful when rocking in the future! You are just a rockin' lady. Love your new vintage rocker on the porch, and that rocker that belonged to your grandfather is beautiful. How wonderful to have so many rockers that family members have enjoyed using before you. Thank you for linking to Favorite Things. laurie
I have a rocking chair that belonged to my grandmother. It's so soothing to set there and rock.
I wish I had some for the front porch. Yours ALL look inviting.
