This past Friday, as a matter of fact.
I turned.....50!
I'd been dreading it, so I took the day off, and persuaded Mister to do the same.
I'll tell you about our busy and fun day in posts to come.
Suffice it to say, that throughout the day Mister would turn to me and exclaim, "I'm having a ball today!"
It was a pretty good day, indeed.
I think I like being 50!
The day before my birthday my sister and I had lunch at Cracker Barrel, where I saw these little plates. I bought one for myself, one for my mom and one for my sister.
They are our new spoonrests. A little bit of sunshine.
A simple pleasure.

May I just say that you don't look your age. Not at all. I don't know what fifty year olds look like anymore, but just saying that I am surprised...forty maybe, but fifty...yup, surprised. Life is what we make it. I imagine that you'll have a blast in this decade you've entered. That's just who you are. I like your spoon rest. I love that you were able to talk your hubby into a day off. I'm still working on mine and he's retired! ☺
