Just Thinking
I was rocking in my little hammock chair this weekend and thinking.
I am so glad that it is summer. Because summer, you see, is my favorite season.
Spring and Fall are delightful. And not as hot. Winter, even when cold and dreary, or beautiful and snowy, is always a good time to stay cozy and eat comfort food.
But right now is perfect. Because July has started. Started, mind you. There are plenty of blooms. And fresh fruits and veggies. You can't beat the fresh flowers and the produce.
Which means there is still plenty of July left. And all of August.
And Fall doesn't begin until the second half of September, right?
Which makes it my very favorite time of year. Summer. And there is plenty of it left!
Thanks to the hosts of these delightful parties - I'm joining Cielo for Show off Your Cottage Monday, Jean for Bloomin' Tuesday, Susan for Outdoor Wednesday.
Hope this is a wonderful week of summer for each of you!
Carol

I must say that if summer were always like the past few days here, it could quickly become my favorite. Temps in the low 80s with low humidity, puffy white clouds, beautiful blue sky...perfection.
Your garden and plantings are looking wonderful.
I agree with Vee, this has been a spectacular weekend! Let's bottle it:@)
I love each season for itself, Carol. No favorites. Your flowers are just lovely ... so healthy. The heat is starting to take its toll on ours, durnnit.
Have a great week ~

Very pretty flowers Carol and I love the kitty statue tucked in by the potted plant.
Ga has been TOO hot/humid this summer and it is hard to spend any time outside. My favorite time of year is Autumn. At our last garden, flowers would bloom right up until Thanksgiving which was wonderful.
I hope you have a wonderful week. Thanks for sharing your awesome summer flowers!
HI Carol. Summer sure looks good at your house! It's so hot here so I stay inside most of the time.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I know I am ready for some fresh tomato's!
I'd rather have summer than winter any day. Our tomatoes are ripening, yum!
So I seriously am in love your old home! I have one myself, but wow! Yours is a real beauty. I am also a fan of summer, mostly because I live in the pacific northwest where summers are fabulous and cool.
I love this. The style is so cute. Yes, I love summer too and 'i see' what you mean :)
Oh the flowers are just so great...we are in the 100 plus, so things are dying. I love spring in Texas, because that is when we have the beautiful flowers. Our heat even killed my attempt at gardening this year...so fall will give me another chance.
It seemed to take it's time coming. Here anyway. But yes, I am enjoying it now... and hoping it will stay a little longer to make up for the days I missed. :)
Blessings, Debbie
We have more than two months of summer left. :D
Beautiful flowers, Carol. Summer is my least favorite though. But then again, I live in South Florida. I must admit this has been one of the most pleasant summers--not as hot as usual. My favorite is autumn. It marks the start of the prettiest weather down here--from about October to May.
Enjoy your summer and keep taking it all in along with a cool glass of lemonade or ice tea.
Hugs.
I see that you think of flowers when you sit and think, lol. Me too!
Sweet pictures of summer! Growing up we had a cellar like yours...memories!
Your home's history is so interesting! Your flowers are very pretty. I enjoyed my visit.
Summer isn't my favorite season, but I'm still very glad that there's more of it yet because I don't think I've enjoyed it fully yet.
Beautiful flowers! I love the long days. Although our days have become really hot, I'll take them over snow.
The long days of summer bring us so many colorful flowers.

I have some of the same kind of flowers blooming. They are so wonderful.
Smiles, Dottie
Oh my, I so agree! I love Summer!!!
Your blooms are all so lovely.
Hugs, Cindy
We have had a nice summer - cool, hot, and in between! I like the in between! :)

I'm popping over from Bloomin' Tuesday--enjoyed visiting your blog.
p.s. summer is my least favorite season...just too hot to work in my garden. Spring is my favorite gardening time of year.
Summer is wonderful because of the very many blooms to behold - a wonderful time to sit out and to enjoy life!
Kathy
