When we lived in Florida, we had several hibiscus bushes around our yard. Such a tropical-looking flower...I had no idea it grew in your neck of the woods.
I am amazed too that hibiscus grows where you are. I live in Florida and we have a hibiscus bush on the side of our home. Since it blooms so much of the time, I thought it was truly tropical nature only. Beautiful bloom. I see the Lord in all of nature and love this huge bloom. Blessings, Lynn
I have a couple of hibiscus plants in my yard but I have never seen this gorgeous color pattern. Love this simple pleasure and it's always good to see you stop by.
I also love those dishes in your next post. Enjoy using them.
Lovely! I miss this flower, we had them when we lived in the south. It was an easy one to grow and every day a new flower appeared. Like a gift for that day.
Carol, I have always wanted to try to grow hibiscus plants - maybe next year I will try one. That is one gorgeous bloom! And yes, my daughter Jillian bought Wilbur's Buds as they are her favorite and, of course, I just HAD to have some too!

I'll say! It reminds me of a giant peppermint. Children must be amazed by them.
So delicate and truly a beautiful simple pleasure.
Thanks for sharing.

It's splendid. I cannot have them because the deer eat them.
I used to have a red hibiscus plant.
