Picture Notecards Party - April Edition

I've got a special treat for this month's Note Cards Party hosted by our friend, Vee!  It's all about Porches.
These Porches were initially featured in a Porch Party Post.  Mt Gretna is a Summer Chataqua, summer church meeting camp.  Methodists built the camp in the late 1800's.  It is a step back in time.

Most of the homes have gracious porches.

Stringing the porches with lights makes them even more inviting, and
enhances an evening of fellowship, al fresco dining or board games.

This little alley, lined with porches, delighted me.

Porches on every level.  Personally, I've always wanted a sleeping porch.  Have you?
Go and visit Vee, and join in this delightful party!  It's one of the most fun in BlogLand!
And have a wonderful, wonderful day!

Carol

Hi Carol, I absolutely love porches , and have tried to get dh to camp out on our screened porch, no luck so far, but i keep trying. The grandkids camp out with me when they come for a visit. These are beautiful that you have shared. I will be joining Vee this evening too.
Thanks for sharing.
hugs,
Sue

They are so pretty Carol. We need porches here with our heat. Our old house had a sleeping porch but it is falling off just about.

The porch lined alley is just darling! I love the romance of porches, they make you think of rest and relaxation. And yes, conversation with good friends.

The entire premise of a church meeting camp floats my boat. We have an Advent Christian one in my town where the quaint little cottages are now privately owned. It's darling and like taking a trip down memory lane to drive into the campground. These are wonderful porches...yes, I'd love a big old enclosed porch like this and I'd especially like a summer porch for sleeping.

This is so much fun. Everyone loves a porch. We have a back deck but not many homes in our area have a front porch. Great post.

Porches are wonderful! My maternal grandmother's house in Pennsylvania had quite a few porches on it! My Mom told me that when she was a girl they would sleep on the upper level porch on hot nights. I've always wished I had a chnace to do that!

I love these porches, especially when combined with a tin roof!

I would enjoy spending time on any of these porches. So pretty and a great theme for your notecards.

We've never had a house with a porch, but I think the next one will have to have one for sure!

I hope you'll stop by and visit my Note Card Pics.

I think porches are wonderful. We don't see too many of them here in Canada. But a sleeping porch in a hot climate would be a great way to cool off. Your photos are so pretty.

Oh how I would love a porch!

We've been saving to have a back screened porch built on to the house - we don't have a design for one on the front - and it so difficult to decide what kind we want!

I esp loved that alley of porches, how neighborly an one get??

I envy those with wonderful porches. My brothers and I used to sleep out on the back deck during the summer. Those were the days!

That second porch suits me- love the shade of a good porch and the thought of a nice warm day sitting out on a swing and enjoying the view.

Lovely! So pretty, I'd love to have a porch like that, we don't tend to have them over here, porches tend to be little entrance vestibules. :)

Carol, These pictures are just so pretty! How I would love a big porch on a tree-lined street to sleep on! Hope you enjoy the weekend.

Hi Carol,
I love porches too.
I have a small porch on the front of my house that is all set up for chatting, reading and having a nice cuppa.

I totally love porches! I wish I had one. My own front porch is very small and not covered by a roof that provides shelter from the elements!
But I can dream and these great pics surely helped me to do so...

Hugs,
Deb

I love the porches. I kind of wish we had put a porch on our house when we built it.

I love your selections! I was so busy that week that I missed the party. I really love looking at everyone's photo groups.
