August Note Card Party...Views from a Back Porch

Our yard is tiny.  Ok by me.  I can mow and sweep the walks in 15 minutes, start to finish.
But we do have our privacy!

Because we replaced the garage, and much of the back yard was torn up in the process this year, I mostly gardened at home in containers.  We found the chamberpot for $1 at a flea market.

The rooster is from Big Lots several years ago.  The little pot was free, and the sweet woodruff was dug up from the garden.  The table was picked up curbside.

Petunias are a bit high maintenance, as far as I'm concerned, but when they are right there on your porch, and you spend a lot of time on that porch, they are great.

I am joining Vee for her Note Card Party, held the 3rd Wednesday of each month.  Join me, won't you?

Wishing you a beautiful week!

Carol

What a beautifully private back yard you have. I would love mine to be that private, too. What great finds...from the flea market and from the side of the road. Enjoy your porch! Hope that it's cool enough to enjoy it. All that lovely green foliage makes me think that it must be.

(What a blessing 15 minutes from start to finish must be. It takes me a half hour to 45 minutes from start to finish. I was going to have that chore this morning, but it rained so now it must wait. I'm feeling so sad about it, too. Right.)

I'm all about privacy too and you have more time for other 'fun' stuff.
Love your commode flower pot!

Petunias are so hardy and bloom all summer..they are such a beautiful flower. I love your rooster and pretty containers. Nice photos for notecards!

I envy both the privacy and the size you describe. We have neither. It takes a lot of work, mostly from the man of the house. That first shot is my favorite. I want to go explore that area.

And I love the pink petunia! I can't grow them for the world.

Why, I'd buy these note cards in a flash. Then, I'd probably frame that good lookin' rooster. :)
