Comfort Food for Fall

This recipe came originally to me from AllRecipes.com, as Great Aunt Nina's Noodles and Chicken.

I've altered the veggies, just kind of put in what I have on hand.  Today, sweet red pepper and green beans from the garden.

The noodles can be made gluten free (rice/tapioca/potato flour with xanthan) and they come out well.

And there it is.  Comfort food in cooler weather.  Caring for my family.

Simple Pleasure.  Day 2 of 31 with the Nesting Place.

Carol, that looks absolutely delicious. You are making me hungry, girlfriend! Now, I have to go scavenge and see what I can come up with in my meager assortment of food in the house. I need to go shopping! ;-)

Thanks so much for your moral support with my blogging issues. I really appreciate it. Not sure what to do, but I haven't gotten a computer yet. We had MAJOR house repairs on our actual residence to make that ended up costing as much as a car, and they were quite unexpected. One thing lead to another kind of surprises, and we have some more to do yet. Anyhow, I'm going to try to ease the pinch a bit and wait it out. I should have gotten one back in the spring before this stuff started happening, but I hesitated. Anyhow, I will be back. I will. In the words of Dorothy, "There's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like home."

Love to you...

XO,

Sheila

Allrecipes is my favorite source for recipes. They never seem to fail me there. Most of the time, I adopt an idea or two from the reviews.

This looks just plain delicious to me, and it came just in time. Fall makes me want soup. Plain and simple.
