In the morning I take old fashioned oats and water and microwave them for 2 minutes.
Put it in a pretty old bowl.
Add cinnamon, brown sugar.
Cut up a Gala apple and add it.
Pour milk over all.
Breakfast Comfort Food.
Simple Pleasure 29. A warm, healthy, tasty, comforting breakfast.
Great on a stormy morning.

that's what I'm having for breakfast as soon as I return from barn chores which are going to be when the sun comes up.

There is not a single breakfast that I enjoy and feel comforted with more than a bowl of oatmeal. It just says, "everything is going to be all right" to me.
Love my oatmeal too! I eat it plain though. I know that sounds bland, but I love it!

We love oatmeal too. Have you tried steel cut? Cooks for a long time and we prepare it on Sunday's before church usually but we love it's nutty flavor. It can be cooked in a slow cooker too.
Good job - I should have done better this morning! Made up for it at lunch!
