morning quiet time

In the morning, before anyone else is up, I slip downstairs.
Brew the coffee, feed the cats.

Light a candle, light the tree.
Gather my Bible and journal.

And start my day off right.

Blessings and comfort,

Carol
(one well-fed cat in the background ;))

I enjoy the quiet of the early a.m. too. So sweet to see kitty enjoying the peaceful scene! Lovely tree.

Morning is such a special time to spend alone with our dear Saviour, I always feel so close to him when it's still dark outside and only the Christmas lights are on inside. I feel "shut in with God in a secret place", when during those times.
Your Christmas lights are lovely.
Hugs, Cindy

It looks like a perfect way to begin a day. Very cozy there by the lit tree. I like your enamelware filled with reading material. Does sweet kitty join you for the reading?

when I am off, I do the same thing. Put the lights on the tree, get a cup of coffee and take it all in!

Your tree is beautiful! I love the early morning when no one else is up. Time to meditate and get ready for the day. Have a good week!

Do you find your cat wants to be friendly first thing in the morning, mine does then ignores me for the rest of the day.

Amen to this. I have my best Bible study time in the mornings.

Yes, M'am! I think that is one fine way to start the day, Carol.

Just wanted to pop in and wish you a very Merry Christmas. I am so far behind that I am going to have to put the pedal to the metal all week long. I hope I will be blogging again after the first of the year when I get a computer. I'm grateful for the loan of this IPAD, but I can't post pictures. But at least I can visit all of you. Now, if I can get my camera situation straightened out, I will be in business again.

Love to you and yours...

XO,

Sheila
