Note Card Party - December - Christmas at Home

Linking to Vee's December Note Card Party!!!
Join the fun with me!

Last year we strung our banister with poinsettia and garland.
This year the poinsettia have gone AWOL, so I have a few unbreakable baubles wired on instead.  A few, not lots.

One of our favorite ornaments is this kitty tangled up in lights.  We do all we can to prevent such shenanigans in real life.

Using Vee's tip she gleaned from somewhere, I took this picture last year through a kitchen strainer.  That's pretty high-tech for me, and I can't seem to replicate it yet this year.

Baubles under glass.  I'm always a fan.  This year the cloche resides in the upstairs hallway on a table, on a red Santa plate, on a lovely white runner from Goodwill.

I am so thankful for our home.  I am blessed to say it is my favorite place to be.  It is a refuge and retreat for our family.  Making our house our home is one of my great joys.

Comfort and blessings,

Carol

All pretty note cards. I like the kitty ornament too and the balls under the cloche are sparkly and festive.

Your home and decor are all lovely. I do love a decorated banister. It's always fun to visit.

I couldn't get the tea strainer to work as well this year either. What's up with that? It must have been a special gift of Christmas 2011.

The kitty ornament is cute and funny and too true. Our more sedate kitty just loves to sit under the tree and eat the fake boughs. That can't be good for her. Perhaps the citrus that someone mentioned in my travels will help.

You realize of course, that as soon as I type this comment, I'm going to look around for something to photograph through a kitchen strainer.

I'm so impressionable!

I love all of your shots, and the kitty tangled in the lights just cracks me up. That's darling!

Great job on your cards! Took me a minute to figure out how you got all those balls in an upside down cloche - DUH, Vickie. LOL!

Very pretty! Merry Christmas!
