Be Still

In a new lifestyle, in a new work ministry.   Feeling our way along through major changes, learning that God leads every step of the way.  He provides grace for each day.  It's one thing to "know" it, another blessed experience to live it!  He is faithful.  I rest in my Beloved.
    Following Him in faith.

What I've Been Up To!

Eight years ago, I signed up for a Community Garden Plot.  There aren't many plots in our small community.

Last week the call came from the Borough office.  "You have been assigned Plot 9A", I was told.  I went right over and took a look.  And here's what I found.
My garden plot, 25' by 50'.  My work was laid out for me!

I started clearing.  Pulled all the weeds by hand.  Dug up as much of the soil as I could.  The previous gardener left a wheelbarrow behind.

She also left a hose.  And the plot is fenced.  I found some stakes and tomato cages, too.  And some potatoes.  Mister tilled it up for me.

I transplanted some day lilies and spiderwort in front of the plot.  And mulched it with free mulch, hauled in my trusty wheelbarrow.
I've ordered a scoop of free compost.
What a transformation!  Welcome, Spring!

Picture Notecards

If I were to choose, as our friend Vee, at A Haven for Vee, suggested, 4 photos from my blog for note cards, I would choose the following:

 1.  I've got to include the sunny sunporch.  It is one of my favorite rooms in the house.  It is truly vintage, complete with large original windows, beadboard ceiling and walls.  We enjoy many a dinner out here, Mister and I.  It's also a great place to breakfast in warmer weather.

 2.  You know we have cats.  Four of them, in fact.  I would be remiss to forego a nod to them.  My favorite, cutest, sweetest is Sunny.  Or as we call him more often, Hunny.  He is darling, and we are besotted with him.  It's hopeless.

 3.  Our old garage has a door on each side.  This wood is like iron.  It is hard and indestructable, over 100 years old.  It makes for a lovely vignette.

 4.  The whole blog centers around Home.  So I have to put in a shot of it in there, too.

Do you notice that everything in the pictures is pretty much yellow, my favorite color?
No coincidence there!

Go, yes, please Go Now and visit Vee, and join in this delightful party!

And have a wonderful Spring Day!

Life

Life.  Literally springing up all around us.

God wants to give us life.  Abundant life.  He does it for all of His creation.  Why not you and me?

You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.

Nehemiah 9:6 NIV

May you be richly blessed on this beautiful Sunday. Delighted to be joining Spiritual Sundays again!
