I've been Away

I know it's been about a week or so since I've posted, and now it seems that the Posting Pictures Procedures have changed.

I would have showed you some inspiring things to do with old sewing drawers.  Pictures of 3 of them have been taken for your viewing pleasure.  But there is a step "missing" in the picture posting process, so all I can post is old pictures from the blog, and only a select few of them.

Anyway, the house is all undecorated now - I felt like the Grinch last week as I packed things away oh-so-neatly, chasing down every bauble and sign of Christmas.  But I'm still picking up faux needles in spite of thoroughly cleaning, and expect to continue to do so for  months to come.

And we moved on to what I secretly think of the "austere" decorating phase of the year, when things are decluttered, unsoftened, kind of like the season outdoors.  Each phase, each season, has its own pleasures.

Looking forward to catching up on your blogs and visiting.  I wish each of you a wonderfully blessed week!

Carol

Welcome back! I have seen several blog posts from friends having similar problems posting photos. I hope Blogger gets everything corrected soon.

Carol, if you do not have Google Chrome as a browser you might need to down load it. Then your images will load with no issues. hugs, olive

Austere? Oh not at my house; I hope not anyway. Austere at your house? Perhaps you need some flowers on the dining table??? I am packing it all away today until later this year. It's not my favorite day. Glad that you're back posting.

Oh are you using Google Chrome for your blogging? It seems to clear out the cobwebs...it's the whole blogger/google connection I think. Anyway, once bloggers download Google Chrome, things mysteriously seem to clear up. I downloaded Google Chrome months ago and it solved the hiccups for me. (I still use IE for many things, just not blogging.)

I wish I could see your drawer photos, next time, hopefully.
For some reason I was not ready to go back to the austere decorating as soon as I normally want to. So I have kept pops of red here and there and I'm loving it. I usually am dyeing to see NO colour for a while. NOt this time, though.
Hugs, Cindy

Hope you figure out what to do on your photos

Nice to see you back, Carol! Having heard reports from several bloggers about photo issues, I am cringing. Ugghh...I am not the most techie blogger out there, for sure. Hope you get the new (?) system figured out soon.

I enjoy the coziness of the winter months too. :)

Good to see you posted , I have not been posting so often either, for the same reason, just took our tree down today, and am working on unpacking more boxes and trying to get the house back in order.
Good luck with blogger.~smile~
Blessings,
Sue

I've read so many people having photo posting problems with blogger. I've found that if I resize all the photos to 800p blogger accepts them w/o problems. Worth a shot!

I got all my Christmas decorations down, but we still haven't taken our tree down yet (it's fake).

Usually we take it down right away. But we have a yearly tradition of taking a family picture in front of the tree.

One of my son works days and the other works evenings (he goes to college during the day). So we had a hard time getting everyone together.

Then they got sick and now I'm sick. So the tree is still up. Lol!

You couldn't be more correct about every season having its own pleasures. Very often, I think of how much I am able to see when the clutter (natural, seasonal, and otherwise) has fallen away in an "austere" season.

I didn't have problems posting pictures yesterday. I sure hope that gremlin does NOT pay be a visit, and I hope he moves away from you very soon.
