This stalk had FIVE blooms.
What a beautiful extravagance.
So nice to watch the progress daily behind the kitchen sink.
It's a blessing to be able to look around and see beauty, extravagance in the midst of life's storms, isn't it?
Wishing you a beautiful day,
Carol

Just gorgeous-enjoy:@)
What a gorgeous flower. It has great color!
Hi Carol! I'm loving your amaryllis. Beautiful!
You might enjoy this. Several years ago I was a bit extravagant and purchased 3 white bulbs and planted them in one large pot. Oh the display when they bloomed...that was truly over the top! When they were done I was planning to keep them for the next year. I read you could plant them in the garden in their pot for the summer and then take them in and hide them in a closet to bring them back out again to prepare for Christmas blooming again. So...I planted them in my garden. And they were even more spectacular than the first time. I would do it again...except I would also not let them die in the garden at frost and tend to them so I can see them bloom a third time. Good intentions.
Enjoy your beauties!
Lovely! A bonus bloom! :)
It's a beauty Carol, and especially so in one of life's storms. Thanks for sharing! Susan
Wow they're huge! My Mum used to grow Amarylis and they looked just like yours.
Stunning. Mine are coming up in the flower garden now. I can leave them out year round in the ground here. They often grow and divide.
Five! I hope that they last a good long while as they are truly elegant and lovely.
What beautiful blooms. I bet the pretty colors make you eager for spring to arrive. We almost have daffodils in bloom, but they are the only sign of color at my house. Thanks for sharing your lovely flowers with us.
Truly magnificent blooms, Carol! I've had amaryllis a time or two, but none since the kitties came to live with me. Ah well, at least I can enjoy yours! Thanks for sharing them! Bess
It's just plain gorgeous. I once tried to grow some here because I love them so much.
I failed.
But I tried.
A beautiful extravagance in the middle of life's storms. What a blessing!
Hugs, Cindy
