Spring's Springing!

Last week, I hauled out my scanty spring decor. I hung out the Easter flag. (See header!) It's my favorite seasonal flag.
The Easter-y egg wreath went up in the sun porch.  It was a delightfully sunny day.
(The next day we got snow, but let's ignore that little tidbit.)

The glass canister by the stove got filled with eggs that match the aforementioned wreath.

The jar lends itself beautifully to any occasion or celebration.

I strung some egg ornaments across the hutch.

I tweaked the sewing drawer on the little cabinet in the kitchen.

Some of a pansy garland snapped off the main strand, so I poked it around the foyer ceiling light fixture.  The fixture is original to the house, 1909.

Here is the rest of the pansy garland, gracing another sewing drawer.  I took the twinkle lights, evergreen greenery and red berries out of the drawer.  Left the mason jars in and nested votive candles in the epsom salts in the bottoms of the jars.  It made for lovely light to dine by.

Celebrating the inevitable approach of spring!

How about you??

Carol

Hi Carol,
What a delight to see all your lovely Springtime decorations. This is the time of year when we are reminded of the new life that God gives us through his Son.

Your home is so beautiful...as you may remember we both live in sunny yellow house. Your weather sounds like ours here in the high desert of Oregon. Snowflakes last night and sunshine today!
Have a wonderful week, my friend.
Blessings,
Carolynn xoxo

Looks like you're ready for spring Carol, even if Mother Nature isn't quite yet-enjoy:@)

Your personal spring-touches make your home look so inviting. I am awaiting spring, but cold and dreary weather is expected all week. When spring does arrive, summer is usually giving chase in St. Louis where humidity is really high.

We're taking it on faith here. Winter still has a firm grip. Sweet signs of the season in your home...you've reminded me to put out the egg wreath!

Nope, not me. I just started a fire in the wood stove; it's pouring rain, cold and windy. Winter has a grip and it's going to take more than sweet, gentle spring to make it leave.

I'm springing up the place too, and it's so fun. After this cold winter, the colors of spring are a welcome sight!

I love every one of your touches.

Such pretty decorating touches! :) I love the eggs and the egg garland.

I don't particularly decorate for Spring/Easter, maybe I should :)

I do love to have Spring flowers around the house though. I have some daffodils on my kitchen windowsill - I want to get some tulips next.

:)

Your Spring decor is really nice, i love the cookie jar with the eggs in it. Perfect for your olden home.
I have done NOTHING in my house to express appreciate for spring...we got six more inches of snow and it's -20 Celsius outside, I'm freezing!
But on the the side, the sun is shining beautifully.
Hugs, Cindy

We have our easter tree out and several displays of spring bunnies. But still have the winter wreath on the front door! I must decorate the way I feel trapped between wanting spring and feeling like winter. Happy Spring Carol, Kristy

Sure wish spring would hurry up and get here. I wish I had a house that was a miniature one of yours. I don't need a big house.

Your Easter touches are so pretty, Carol! I always enjoy seeing what different things bloggers do for each season. Spring is always fun because of eggs and bunnies -- so many cute displays!
