Blooming by the House

The garden along the driveway side of the house is in full bloom.
In this garden, all I do is deadhead and clear out the excess Chinese lantern plants.  So low maintenance!
Later in the season, blooms will include 4 o'clocks, butterfly bush, great big hibiscus blooms, hydrangea, spiderwort, naked ladies, and old fashioned autumn blooming clematis which smells heavenly!

a spreading geranium (very invasive!).  There are even a couple of spiderwort blooms here and there.

And the poppies have bloomed in a riot of orange!

How's your garden growing?

What a glorious gift. When I take my preschool students on walks in spring we look for flowers and stop and say, "Thank you God for my eyes, so I can see your flowers."

Lovely flower garden, a great variety, and I like the fact of low maintenance.. Enjoy your day.

I was just thinking yesterday that I'd love to have a garden along the west side of the house. Sadly, no sun so it would have to be a lot of ferns and not the lovely plants you have. Creeping geranium, eh? I could use something like that.

Your flowers are beautiful and you've got some really nice ones to show. What is the tall ones that look like onions with the big purple flower?
Enjoy your day!

These are beautiful, Carol. Love them. Such a gorgeous garden.

Mine is a little limp. We have had rain, rain, rain. So I hope it will survive that and the summer heat.

Your garden looks so gorgeous!
I recognize some of these plants...I'm terrible with flower names. So glad to see you labeled them for the gardening challenged! :)

My four o'clocks have started blooming and they are so pretty. The humming birds love them too!
I must say... with day light savings time, they do NOT bloom at 4 o'clock. ;)

have a wonderful weekend.
